BQI helps with Operation Christmas Child to give gifts to disadvantaged children
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is an initiative of Samaritan’s Purse UK, a Christian relief and development charity working amongst communities in need across Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
It has developed over many years and has allowed many children across the world to receive a shoe box full of gifts at Christmas. These children may be from a poorer background so may not usually receive any gifts at Christmas. The gifts are not given based on religion, these gifts are distributed out regardless of ethnicity or religion.
The operation calls out for people to use old shoeboxes and fill them with small gifts. This can be anything from hygiene products such as toothbrushes, to soft toys. The box can be given to either a boy a girl with an age range of your choice. The shoe box is then delivered to a drop off point to begin its journey! From there they are flown off to be delivered in time for Christmas. These small shoeboxes can make a big difference to many across the globe.
A small shoebox can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal.
